Trinidelphia
Trinidelphia, a four-piece soca/calypso/jazz ensemble, was born out of street jams in Rittenhouse Square in 2005. Since then, the group has expanded to become Philly’s preeminent Caribbean music ensemble. The name itself summarizes the mission of the band: to bring a unique Philadelphia twist to the steel drum music of Trinidad. Members of Trinidelphia have performed at such esteemed venues as Carnegie Hall, the Blue Note and the Kimmel center and have toured the world, backing up stars such as Chaka Kahn, Dionne Warwick, Stanley Clarke, Tina Marie, and Bill Withers.
